I don’t want flowers or soppy poems
It’s everyday love that I want showing 
I don’t want a teddy or heart shaped balloon
as they disappear and deflate too soon

I want it to last longer than just one day
It’s cheaper than gifts as there’s nothing to pay
something  sincere coming straight from the heart ❤️ 
breakfast in bed would be a good start!

So I’ll put my feet up for the whole of the day
you can massage my feet instead of a bouquet 💐 
you can bring me endless cups of tea
that would mean much more to me

You put the dinner on and tidy up
obviously in between bringing me cups 🍮
basically a day off from everyday chores
you’ll see my life is much different to yours

It could be a day to benefit us both
a calming atmosphere it might just evoke
maybe in the future would make you think twice
and we both could enjoy a more ‘contented’ life 😻

So save your money and last minute dash
chocolates  and wine will be gone in a flash!
