Never imagined what it was like
having no money to spend
believed it would be there for ever
it’s hard to comprehend 


We took it for granted before this disease 
never dreamt it could be taken away
Survival was only in other countries 
not here in the ‘safe house’ U.K.


We have to be strong and acclimatise 
for a while thing’s won’t be ‘normal‘
We’ll find ways of enduring this
If we can’t - it’s going to be awful 


Life will be different - Something had to give
The economy has taken a battering
People losing their jobs like never before
prosperity has taken a hammering 


The world today has changed its perspective 
In a way we could never foresee 
There’s not really much we can do about it
because, nothing is guaranteed 😩
