We stand together united
we take a deep long breath
we're slowly coming to terms 
with the shock of her Majesty's death

History has changed now forever
the Kingdom unitedly mourns
we collect our thoughts together
and watch as a new era dawns

We need some time to reflect
and to put aside our grief 
we welcome in King Charles
our new commander-in-chief 

It's a totally different world now 
a light has been diminished 
that familiar face we're used to
has abruptly now been finished 

The world is watching closely 
the Royals crudely laid bare
there's no room for privacy 
under the public and media glare

We forget they're only human 
and should have space to greive 
but they have to hide their emotions
and let her Majesty rest in peace
