It's usually a bunch of red roses
or a heart shaped red balloon 
sometimes a box of chocolates
if you're lucky your favourite perfume

We've all secretly had one
that innocent first-time crush 
when you're starstruck and a bit silly 
and you annoyingly awkwardly blush

It's different when you're older
you've gone past that ’giddy’ stage
maturing like a vintage wine 
which always gets better with age

Cupid draw back your bow
