I don’t want flowers or soppy poem
It’s everyday love that I want showing 
I don’t want a teddy or a heart shaped balloon
as they disappear and deflate too soon


I want it to last longer than just a day
It’s cheaper than gifts as there’s nothing to pay!
Something sincere coming straight from the heart 💜 
breakfast in bed would be a good start!


So I’ll put my feet up for the rest of the day
You can massage my feet instead of a bouquet 💐 
You can bring me endless cups of tea
that would mean much more to me


You put the dinner on and tidy up
obviously in between bringing me cups☕️
basically a day off from everyday chores
you’ll see my life is much different to yours


It could be a day to benefit us both
a calming atmosphere it might just evoke
maybe in future it would make you think twice
and we both could enjoy a more ‘contented’ life 😻
